SecLayer is a product of Softaculous, and this notice follows the Softaculous privacy policy. When you register on SecLayer or Softaculous websites / forums, we will ask you to provide personal information.   • Purchasing & Licensing: SecLayer licenses are purchased and managed through the Softaculous Client Center. We collect data only to manage your account and fulfill orders. We never sell your data; it is shared with third parties (such as our payment gateway) only as necessary to provide our services.
  • Your End-User Data: We do not collect or access any data belonging to your customers. Everything SecLayer stores on the servers where it is installed — logs, blocked and allowed IP addresses, configuration and alerts — remains strictly private and resides entirely within your infrastructure.
  • License & Update Checks: To validate your license and check for updates, SecLayer connects to Softaculous servers and sends only the SecLayer version, the release channel and your license key (along with your server's IP address, as with any internet connection). No logs, personal information or customer data are sent.
  • Server Statistics: SecLayer does not send usage statistics to us. The statistics shown in the SecLayer admin panel are collected and stored only on your own server.
  • Optional Third-Party Services: Features you choose to enable, such as Cloudflare integration, IP blocklist feeds, country/ASN blocking data, RBL checks or cluster ban sync, connect directly from your server to those services or to your own servers. Information sent to a third-party service is governed by that provider's privacy policy.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the services you request.
  • Inform you of other products or services offered by Softaculous.
  • Send you relevant survey invitations related to our services.
  • Administer your account.
  • Improve our website and marketing efforts.
